Santa Cruz High strives to ensure our school community remains well informed of important events and activities. We take numerous steps to communicate with parents and guardians, and provide many methods for you to proactively "stay connected"!
As a parent or guardian, you will receive your back to school form through your Illuminate portal at the beginning each academic year. In addition, Blackboard, is used to send messages through email and the phone system.

Online Access to Student Info, Grades and Attendance
Parent Portal provides parents and guardians with online access to student records, including general information, attendance, progress reports and transcripts.
Attend Parent Group Meetings
Numerous parent groups meet on a monthly basis. Use these meetings as an opportunity to meet other parents and ensure your voice is heard. Monthly meetings are generally held on the following dates. Be sure to check the calendar for changes made to individual meeting dates:
PTA: 2nd Monday of the month, 6:30 pm in the Library.
ELAC (English Language Advisory Council): Schedule varies, see calendar for dates.
Cardinal Club (Athletic Boosters): 4th Wednesday of the month, 6:00 pm in the library.
PAAHS (Parents of African American Heritage Students): 3rd Thursday of the month, 6:00 pm in Room 64.
Band Boosters: 3rd Thursday of the month, 7:00 pm in the Band Room.
Site Council: Schedule varies, see calendar for dates
It should also be noted that Board Meetings for the Santa Cruz City School District are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.Parents are welcome to attend. The location for the meeting varies. For information on specific meetings, go to the Santa Cruz City Schools Website.
